Abstarct: Abstract Rapid population growth and increased urbanization along with the industrialization of societies have increased the demand for energy worldwide, which has led to its becoming one of the fundamental issues in the field of energy management. Therefore, researchers and policymakers pay attention to renewable sources because sustainable, efficient, resilient and safe energy production can be improved to meet the global energy demand. In this study, using the best-worst fuzzy rough method, the criteria of on-site production, variable fuel source, redundancy, stability, recovery, protection, strengthening, defense, reliability, optimization and cost-effectiveness respectively with weights of 0.1 , 0.079, 0.068, 0.078, 0.12, 0.086, 0.083, 0.094, 0.058, 0.081 and 0.077 have been identified as the most important criteria and with Using rough data envelopment analysis method, solar energy has the most efficiency compared to other sources (wind energy, geothermal energy and biomass energy).
